Can I adjust your entrance mats by myself?

It depends on the type of entrance mat you're interested in. All our entrance mats are customizable, but depending on the structure of the mat the quality may reduce.

Would you like to know if your mat can easily be adjusted in size? Please contact us for information.

How can I request a sample?

How long is the warranty on your entrance mats?

Brush Mat: we provide a 5-year warranty on brushes and recycled PVC profiles with normal use and regular maintenance. 

Aluflex Mat: we provide a 5-year warranty on aluminum profiles and inserts, with normal use and regular maintenance. 

Alucable Mat: we provide a 5-year warranty on aluminum profiles and inserts, with normal use and regular maintenance. 

Duplomat: we provide a 5-year warranty on aluminum profiles and inserts, with normal use and regular maintenance. 

Carpet Logo Mat: We provide a 5-year warranty with normal use and regular maintenance.

What are the maximum dimension of the mats you manufacture?

Depending on the construction type, certain of our products have a maximum width.

However, it's possible to divide a mat in several parts by using a T profile .

Aluflex and Alucable: max width 3500 mm.

Alucable XXL: max width 3500 mm.

Duplomat: max width 3500 mm.

Brush Mat: max width 3200 mm.

AluConnect: available in 2 standard lengths of 1500 mm and 2500 mm.

What are the shipping costs?

Due to the increasing transport and diesel costs, the shipping costs are currently on request only!

What do I need to send you to order a logo mat?

For logo design we require an original .EPS file.

Wanneer er geen origineel EPS bestand aangeleverd kan worden, kunnen wij het .JPG .JPEG of .PNG bestand laten overtekenen tegen meerprijs.

What is the delivery time?

This depends on the size and type of your order. An accurate delivery time is given at the end of every individual order procedure.

Regular maintenance: 

  • Use a brush or broom to brush the dry dirt out of the bristles in the direction of the profiles.

 Periodic maintenance: 

  • Carefully remove the mat from the well. The mat can be rolled up.
  • Brush the dry dirt out of the bristles in the direction of the profiles.
  • Use a brush or broom to remove the coarse dirt from the well.
  • Vacuum the well or floor thoroughly.
  • Carefully place the mat in the well again. If the mat is divided into several partitions, it's important to put it back in the same way.

 Thorough maintenance: 

  • Carefully remove the mat from the well. The mat can be rolled up.

The ABI Carpet Logo Mats are machine washable. We recommend washing the mats in the washing machine during periodic maintenance.

MEASURING

For optimal functionality and durability, it's important to take precise measurements and have your mat fitted properly. We use a digital measuring device to guarantee accuracy.
For an accurate measurement of your project, one of our specialists will visit you onsite.
The measured data is digitally processed in AutoCAD, in which the data is optimized for production.

ABI MEASUREMENT AND ORDER PROCESSING
Measurement information and requirements

Information to be submitted in advance: 

  • Your name, address and phone number
  • Type of mat, desired insert, color code(s) and accessories (ramp profile, etc.)
  • Drawing or photo of the entrance to be measured
  • Desired delivery date
  • Important remarks/instructions (optional)

 Requirements: 

  • The framework of the well must be completely installed
  • Skirting boards, tiles and/or wall mounted heating must be installed before measurement takes place
  • To qualify for our warranty, the surface of the well or recess must be flat and smooth
  • The information of the depth of the well given in advance must be accurate
  • The entrance must be free of construction materials, waste or anything else that can hinder the measuring process
  • Scaffolding must be moved in advance

 We reserve the right to return to our head office in Almelo and to charge for travel and time, if the well is not completely ready upon our arrival.

If well dimensions have been adjusted afterwards and we need to change the mat during installation, ABI will charge for extra hours worked.

If the entrance cannot be properly measured or molded without the interference of (a lot of) traffic, please let us know, and we'll make an appointment outside working hours.

INSTALLATION

A level and smooth well surface is required for placement of the well.
Well preparation can be carried out by ABI or a local contractor.
ABI recommends having the mat installed by one of our experts, but it's possible to install the mat yourself.

Please follow these steps for entrance mat installation: 

In a recessed well: 

  • The surface of the well must be level and smooth
  • The inside of the mat well must be clean and dry
  • The entrance mat is rolled up when delivered. Carefully remove the protection without damaging the mat.
  • Roll the mat carefully out within the well. A fixed connection to the surface of the well is not necessary.

 On floor or pavement: 

  • The surface of the well must be level and smooth
  • The surface must be clean and dry
  • The entrance mat is rolled up when delivered. Carefully remove the protection without damaging the mat.
  • If there's a sloping profile attached, indicates this the 'beginning' of the mat. The other side has a U profile and must be placed against the threshold.
  • Roll out the entrance mat

 With sloping profiles around the mat: 

  • The surface of the well must be level and smooth
  • The surface must be clean and dry
  • Attach the sloping profiles to the surface. This creates a well.
  • The entrance mat is rolled up when delivered. Carefully remove the protection without damaging the mat.
  • Roll the mat carefully out within the well. A fixed connection to the surface of the well is not necessary.
